New Ribbon Cutting Alert

10/21 - Join Propel ATL for the ribbon cutting of the new bike & roll lane installed on 14th street. The cutting is at the corners of 14th St & State Street at 5:45pm and will be followed by a ride to Hemphill Ave NW for social/dinner hour after. Find out more and register here.

New Bike Camping Trip Alert

10/24 - Our pals over at Atlanta Cycling Festival have their fall bike camping trip coming up on Saturday, October 24th. The trip takes you out and back to Rockmart, GA on the Silver Comet Trail. It’s a great way to get out there on a separated and paved trail. Even better, it is fully supported and catered so all you have to do is ride, enjoy the scenery, and they will handle the luggage transport as well as snacks/meals. Find out more and register here.

New Progress on Trolley Line Alert

Progress continues to be made on the Moreland Avenue and Arkwright Place construction project. The proposed project will convert the intersection of SR 42 / Moreland Avenue and Arkwright Place into a right-in/right-out (RIRO) by constructing a median to restrict all left turn movements and prohibit through movements from Arkwright Place. GA DOT project Info here and more context here.

New APD E-Bike Patrol Alert

The Atlanta Police Department is rolling out a new 15 e-bike patrol along the entire Atlanta Beltline trial. Read more about it here.

The rad crew over at Concrete Jungle created Wandrer, the game you win by going places you've never been before. The main rule is: you get credit for every road you travel, but only once. A free account syncs 50 past activities from Strava, allows you to participate in Explorer Activities, and download 10 maps for GPS devices. You can also upgrade your account for a nominal annual fee to sync all your prior activities and get additional features. Our favorite upgraded feature is the browser extension that displays traveled and untraveled roads in popular routing tools.

Now is the perfect opportunity to sign up and compete as you log all those Biketober miles you are riding 😉.

From their website:

Wandrer is meant to encourage you to take a small action against going where you'd normally go. There are many places out there worth seeing for their own sake. To find new parks, to see how your neighbors live, to eat at new restaurants, and to be some place new and unfamiliar in your own city.

MWR ATL and Saddle Up ATL are not responsible for any ride other than our own. Ride at your own risk. While we endeavor to provide accurate information, be sure to double-check all ride socials for any updates and details on the required skill level. All rides are weekly unless indicated otherwise with a *
