Hiya {{first_name | friend}},
Welcome to the very first Saddle Up ATL newsletter!
We are excited for you to join us on this lil’ bike news experiment. The goal here is to find ways to contribute to and celebrate the Atlanta cycling community, even if we aren’t able to ride – whether due to injury, excessive heat, or even existential dread. And on the days we are ready to roll, this can serve as a centralized knowledge base for all things bike in the city.
Every two weeks, you will get a curated digest right in your inbox featuring:
Atlanta Bike News: Easy-to-read updates on the local haps, infrastructure issues, bike lane changes, and trail expansions.
Two Wheel Outlook: A list of upcoming bike rides and events happening around Atlanta.
Community Spotlights: Cool local bike shops, advocacy events, and neighborhood cycling groups.
Have a suggestion, idea, or upcoming bike ride/event for the newsletter? Hit reply to this email.
See you out there,
Mr. & Mrs. Midweek Roll (Logan & Jen)
P.S. Drag this email to your primary inbox or add us to your contact list to make sure our bi-weekly updates don't get lost in your promotions tab or spam folder.

New Zine Alert!
Bike Dork ATL dropped the 9th edition of his zine “No Bad Rides.” Snag yours for $10 at Bookish Atlanta, Guild + Journeyman, Rar Bikeshop, The Spindle ATL, or keep an eye out for him at one of the group rides listed in the Two Wheel Outlook below.
New Trail Alert!
The Atlanta Beltline Southside Trail is officially open! The Southside Trail Segments 2 +3 now connect the 1.9 miles from Pittsburgh Yards in southwest Atlanta to Boulevard in Grant Park. That means you can now get from the Eastside Beltline all the way to the West End on a paved and protected trail.
Helpful Instagram Account Alert!

Sopo Bicycle Cooperative
680 Murphy Ave SW Ste 6072, Atlanta, GA 30310
404-594-4845
SOPO is back, baby! After relocating and nearly closing, your favorite bicycle cooperative is back and better than ever with expanded hours (via their Instagram). They are located inside the MET Atlanta near the West End MARTA station and one mile from the Beltline Westside Trail.
You can help them out by donating money, time, or bicycles. Check out their website for more details at https://sopobikes.org/
From their website:
Since 2004, SOPO Co-op has been a pillar of the volunteering community in Atlanta.
We do not offer paid repair services, but we provide the shop space, tools, parts and guidance to empower you to repair your own bicycle.
SOPO also sells used bicycles, parts, locks, helmets, tires, tubes, tools and accessories.
Our community outreach programs use your donations (money, time & usable bicycles) to provide low-cost bicycles to persons who rely on them as their only mode of transportation.
